This was my Sunday shopping spree outfit. I braved the gale force winds to take these outside, hence my blown away hair.I have nowhere in my apartment appropriate for pictures due to lack of space! I have a feeling I'll need to make space if this weather continues. So, today I went to the Dundrum centre with my friend Hana as she was looking for a dress for a wedding. The weather seems to have brought thousands to the Centre. I have never seen anywhere so packed in all my life. Luckily most people seemed to be there with their kids so the shops weren't too crowded. There are so many shops with so many lovely things - I was mainly looking for some new make-up which I didn't really manage to get as we spent alot of time eating lunch, drinking coffee and catching up (which I much preferred)! I did get some new foundation and an eyelash curler though (following on from a beauty blogger's advice - Letzmakeup. But not a stitch of clothing. I blame the weather not being in sync with what's in the shops.
I recently read an article inRedabout how if a woman is into fashion, beauty, baking, how she dresses, etc..she obviously doesn't have a brainso I felt empowered as a woman who likes all of the above and does have a brain to listen to some Le Tigre.
Back outside thank god. Pictures taken inside never look great so I'm really happy there was a break in the weather today. Boots are back. At this stage we should probably still be in tights but wearing tiny ballet pumps and not heavy waterproof boots. But, I actually don't mind because I prefer winter clothes anyway. I really love this scarf. I've never owned a tartan scarf before but I saw this on Ebay and loved the colours. The coat came with a faux fur white collar which I took off to replace with this scarf. You can't really see it but I'm wearing a white blouse underneath the coat and I've bright yellow nailpolish on. Enjoy splashing in the puddles!
Track of the day:
I'm afraid my mood reflects the weather so it's Scarlett Johansson today singing a sad song. Her voice is amazing.
It's hurricane season out there today so I had to take these pictures inside which is the reason for the poor quality. So, sorry about that. I love these grey jeans - they go with my mood! They're also nice because they're not black and they're not blue - both of which I have plenty of. I'm not really one for big bright colours but I love bright yellow as you can see by this cardigan. I think people are afraid to wear yellow - I don't know why. I think it's lovely. I also have a black coat with me and my tan beret.
Track of the day:
I really needed cheering up today so I put on Pinback. Love this band. I'd highly recommend you check them out. They're one of my favourite bands ever.
This was my look for yesterday for shopping with himself. He did quite well out of H&M and got some great shoes in TK Maxx. The day began with me being very cold in just the coat and no jumper but by the middle of the day I was sweating. Ireland I love you but sort out your weather! I really like the colours in this shirt although it's going to have to be put away for summer as it's really warm. I like this coat but you can see the sleeves are too long for me - I have short arms I think. In future I'll roll up the sleeves a bit.
Track of the day:
Real Estate are my new favourite band so this is my track of the day. They are playing Primavera this year and I'm very excited about seeing them while sitting in the Spanish sunshine drinking a beer. This song sounds alot like The Lemonheads I think.
I was at the launch of the new Jean Paul Gaultier designs for Diet Coke at Harvey Nichols last night with my friend Denise (one of my inspirations for starting this blog and also the other lady in the pics).
It was a great night.
What a gorgeous venue, funky bar, brilliant DJ, free nail bars, cool models, yummy Bellini's and of course as much Diet Coke as you could guzzle. I couldn't get over how lovely everyone was - so friendly and chatty. Met a few fellow bloggers too which was great.
I haven't worn this dress in a long time. I got my needle-handy mom to take it up for me and now it feels like I have a new dress. I've forgotten how nice it is so am delighted to have found it in the wardrobe.
I am very excited as I've been invited to the Press Launch of Jean Paul Gaultier for Diet Coke in Harvey Nichols. Have my outfit picked out and all and will blog about it tomorrow!

I'm just back from a brilliant ten days surf trip in Kerry with some really great friends and family. I had to pack for all kinds of weather - rain, wind, hail and sunshine - and we had all of it. I'd like to rename Kerry "wait five minutes" - if it's raining, wait five minutes and it will stop and the sun will come out. So, again, lots and lots of layering. I realised a long time ago wearing a scarf immediately warms me up. These pics were taken by my other half on a gorgeous beach while the sun was setting.
It's cold out there (but sunny!). Wow, what a difference a few days make. Last week we had temperatures of 22 degrees and I was wearing a blazer and shoes without socks! This week it's back to winter clothes (which I don't mind at all as I love winter clothes).
I have never owned a tartan scarf but I like this red against the beige. I always wear quite muted colours so a splash of tartan colour can't hurt!
My other big love is music (my first love actually - besides my other half). My very good friend Ruth, who runs fantastic workshops in all sorts of lovely things at http://www.thecraftlounge.eu/ made a suggestion to me a few months ago that I should also put songs I like on my blog. So, thanks to you Ruth, I'm going to do that!
Track of the day:
I'm currently listening to this track from Tegan & Sara (hence the title of today's blog).
I really love stripes and wish there were more stripe tops out there. So, this one gets worn quite alot. I like these dark jeans and think they'd work well with lots of different types of shoes from converse to these pumps to high heels to a wedge. There were lots of little flies flying around me today - a sure sign of spring!
